Rockinghorse Studios - Accommodation
As part of your creative retreat, Rockinghorse Studios would be delighted to offer the use of our on-site accommodation (at rates negotiable as part of studio hire).
Rockinghorse Studios has available two options for fully self-contained onsite accommodation, so you can tailor your creative retreat to suit your own tastes and budget.
Our standard accommodation is the cottage hideaway, just a short stroll from the studios (close enough to get to work quickly, far enough away to offer seclusion when you need a break).
The studio owner's main house (also on-site) may be offered to artists seeking more luxurious accommodation, price on application and subject to availability.
Of course, you'll be busy most of the time, working very hard to create your masterpiece in the studio - but there are plenty of distractions on hand to occupy any downtime.
Outdoors types will love the opportunity to wander through the grounds, where some of Australia's distinctive wildlife abounds. (Make sure you bring a torch so you don't miss out on catching a glimpse of the nocturnal critters)!
The cottage's garden backs onto the green of an immaculate par 3 golf hole, with a full 18 hole golf course under construction on the adjacent hillsides.
If the golf action doesn't tucker you out, you could always try out the full sized clay-surfaced tennis court (located between the cottage and the studio).
Take a short drive, and you can enjoy some of the best surf beaches in the world, and Byron Bay's outstanding dining, shopping and nightlife. If you're not the outdoors type, don't worry the cottage comes with a TV, video, and Playstation 2.
Kitchen facilities are available, but if you prefer to be pampered while you concentrate, we can also arrange for specialised catering by any one of Byron Bay's premier restaurants.
There are plenty of nearby facilities if you want to duck out and explore the many delights the Byron Bay area has to offer.
