Having worked in the UK, Europe and Australia Steve James has 35 years industry experience. For the past 5 years, Steve has based himself at Rockinghorse Studios. Together with Alan De Vendra; the studio founder, Steve has been a great motivational factor in setting up the independent record company. Together they have successfully signed and produced The Charlie Parkers debut album ‘Step Back Forward’ which is currently receiving national radio and television exposure. This year at Rockinghorse Studios, Steve has recorded and mixed The Charlie Parkers, Modern Life, Mental As Anything, Brian Cadd, Jane Walker, Nessa Morgan and Hamish Adam. The rooms and equipment are proving to be a huge success. Feedback from Leon Zervos, Senior Mastering Engineer at Sterling Sound New York, is that the team at Rockinghorse Studios are providing top quality productions for him to work with.
