World Class Recording, Mixing and Pre-Production Studios
Established in 1992, Rockinghorse recording studios has many years of recording excellence and offers a Neve V1 desk, Pro Tools 192 HD together with Studer A820 24 track analogue recording and an impressive outboard equipment list. With two world class studios Rockinghorse can comfortably provide for all your recording needs.
Rockinghorse main recording suite, Studio A, driven by our Neve V 1 - 60 48 channel console is a versatile space, ideal for a comprehensive range of recording, mixing, overdubbing and backing track work. It contains facilities for digital and analogue recording and offers all you need to capture all that you can dream up.
Studio B is a purpose built studio custom designed as a programming and pre-production suite. It is equipped with Pro Tools 24 V5.1, a fader ProControl integrated control surface for Pro Tools, Dolby 5.1 Surround sound and Genelec monitoring and tie lines to Studio A for larger projects. This state of the art technology is manned by our professional staff who are some of the best in the business.

On-Site Residential Accommodation
Rockinghorse offers budget and luxury accommodation with swimming pool, tennis court and golf driving and practice range just 15 minutes drive to Byron Bay’s spectacular beaches restaurants and night life.
Both Studios A & B are only a short stroll away from onsite accommodation and a range of resort like facilities.
Rockinghorse Studios has available two options for fully self-contained onsite accommodation, so you can tailor your creative retreat to suit your own tastes and budget.
Our standard accommodation is the cottage hideaway, just a short stroll from the studios (close enough to get to work quickly, far enough away to offer seclusion when you need a break).
The main house (also on-site) may be offered to artists seeking more luxurious accommodation, price on application and subject to availability.
